Telangana government mandates Telugu teaching from Class 1 to 10

The Telangana government has made Telugu a compulsory subject for students in 1st to 10th classes across CBSE, ICSE, IB, and other board-affiliated schools starting from the 2025-26 academic year. This follows the Telangana (Compulsory Teaching and Learning of Telugu in Schools) Act of 2018. The move aims to implement the act fully, with a simplified "Simple Telugu" textbook introduced for non-native students.
